Volunteer
There are many ways you can support our school by volunteering. Every volunteer has a unique talent that can benefit the PTO and, consequently, the school. Volunteer efforts make a meaningful difference in our community and the lives of our children! Attend the PTO monthly meetings to find out of areas where there is a need for volunteers.
Current Volunteer Needs
Who can volunteer?
Working parents, stay-at-home parents, young adults, grandparents, teachers, staff, anyone can be an invaluable PTO volunteer.
How do I get involved?
-
PTO executive board
These positions are usually selected at the beginning of the school year. The school will send information on signing up to serve as volunteers for these positions. These volunteers attend monthly PTO meetings scheduled usually in the first week of the month. -
Attend a PTO meeting
You do not have to be a PTO executive board member to attend a PTO meeting. PTO meetings are open to all the Double Peak School community and all parents are encouraged to attend the monthly PTO meetings. PTO meetings are scheduled usually in the first week of the month. -
PTO Room parents and classroom volunteers
Room parents and classroom volunteers are also selected during the beginning of the school year usually during the back-to-school parent and teacher meetings. A room parent facilitates communication between parents, their classroom teacher, and the PTO. They support the teacher in needs that may arise in the classroom. -
Event volunteers
The PTO organizes different activities and events throughout the school year that will need the skills of many volunteers. The Double Peak PTO Volunteer Coordinator will be recruiting volunteers for these events.
Please feel free to contact us at any time if you would like to volunteer or have an idea for the PTO.
