Since the opening of Double Peak K-8 in August of 2016, the effect of our unique learning opportunities on motivation, passion and academic success has been monumental! Double Peak School's passionate staff is determined to raise the level of public education to surpass even the top private schools in the community and to ensure our kids are leading the way in innovative thinking.

Double Peak PTO is a nonprofit organization formed by parents, teachers, and school staff to support Double Peak School.
​
With the generous donations of parents, sponsors, and community members, the PTO supports the following (this list is non-exhaustive and does not include the fun family activities hosted through the year):

Innovation Department
Double Peak School students have a 30-40 minute Innovation Block within their daily schedules. Within this block, classes cycle through engineering, technology, and/or design thinking in the Makerspace. While in the DPS Makerspace, classes have two weeks to go through the Design Thinking Process to build prototypes to help solve real world or curricular Design Challenges.

Art
Art education is an important tool for helping develop 21st century learners. It provides students opportunities to be creative thinkers, confident learners, and innovative problem solvers. Students at Double Peak K-8 school are immersed in an art curriculum that is aligned with the New Visual Arts Standards; focusing on a foundation that will lead to success in the visual arts at the high school level.

Leader in Me is an evidence-based, social-emotional learning process—developed in partnership with educators—that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.
