Double Peak PTO is a nonprofit organization formed by parents, teachers, and school staff to support Double Peak School.
With the generous donations of parents, sponsors, and community members, the PTO supports the following (this list is non-exhaustive and does not include the fun family activities hosted through the year):
Double Peak School students have a 30-40 minute Innovation Block within their daily schedules. Within this block, classes cycle through engineering, technology, and/or design thinking in the Makerspace. While in the DPS Makerspace, classes have two weeks to go through the Design Thinking Process to build prototypes to help solve real world or curricular Design Challenges.
Art education is an important tool for helping develop 21st century learners. It provides students opportunities to be creative thinkers, confident learners, and innovative problem solvers. Students at Double Peak K-8 school are immersed in an art curriculum that is aligned with the New Visual Arts Standards; focusing on a foundation that will lead to success in the visual arts at the high school level.
