Activities
Many thanks to our amazing Activities team, Francie and Michelle. The Mother/ Special Adult - Son Glow Activity night was amazing. Your vision and hard work continue to create exciting activities and fun memories for all Double Peak School students and their families!
Carnival and Scarecrow Festival
Double Peak School Carnival & Scarecrow Festival is right around the corner! And, it is going to be better than ever!
The festivities begin Friday, October 18, 4-9 p.m., and there will be a special appearance by the DPS Choir and Jazz Band. Festivities continue on Saturday, October 19, 3-8 p.m., where we will all be treated to a special performance by DPS Fifth Graders.
These are amazing and fun two (2) days of carnival rides, rock wall, free inflatables (for the littles), delicious food, face painting, glow, and scarecrows! Thank you in advance to the Carnival & Scarecrow Committee Chair, Dani. You and your team are amazing.
Volunteering
Activities and events at DPS could not take place were it not for volunteers. Thank you, Georgia, volunteer coordinator, and all who help where they can. We know volunteering comes in many and varied ways. We are so very thankful for each.
Fund the Suns
We begin each school year with Fund the Suns (FTS). As you may be aware, the foundation of FTS is to ensure that close to 100% of each donation made by Double Peak families will remain and go to programs that benefit DPS students. This year, of that 100%, ten percent (10%) has been earmarked for your children’s classrooms. Our FTS Committee Chair, Michele, has provided a detailed update next. Please take a moment to read. Fund the Suns, 2019-2020 - 100-Day Campaign Update
To date, Fund the Suns (FTS) has raised $12,582 among 65 donors, approximately 10% of DPS family participation. FTS is critical to our PTO budget; the more donations, the larger the impact on DPS enrichment programs such as Innovation, Art, and so much more. We need your support!
Beginning Wednesday and for eight weeks, FTS will draw a donor name from families who have donated to FTS to win a DPS Spirit Wear Bag! Don't delay, give today! As participation increases, our children will have the opportunity to gain extra lunchtime and unique activities with their teachers and administration.
Any amount will ensure that DPS education remains comprehensive with dynamic learning elements. Moreover, your FTS contribution will encourage others to give, creating a multiplier effect of givers that dramatically increases philanthropic momentum.
We look forward to celebrating as we reach each milestone: 25%, extra lunchtime; 50%, student/ faculty game and popsicles; 75%, silly string battle and extra time for lunch; and 100%, a school-wide field trip sponsored by DP PTO.

Feria de DPS y Festival de Espantapájaros
¡El Festival Espantapájaros y la Feria de Double Peak School está a la vuelta de la esquina! ¡Y va a estar mejor que nunca!
Las festividades comienzan el viernes 18 de octubre, de 4 a 9 p.m., y habrá una aparición especial del coro de DPS y la banda de Jazz. Las festividades continúan el sábado 19 de octubre, de 3 a 8 p.m., donde todos seremos invitados a una presentación especial por los alumnos de quinto grado de DPS.
¡Estos son dos días increíbles y divertidos de juegos de mecanicos, paredes de roca, brincolines gratis (para los pequeños), comida deliciosa, pintacaritas, articulos luminosos y espantapájaros! Gracias de antemano a la Presidenta del Comité de Carnaval y Espantapájaros, Dani. ¡Tú y tu equipo son increíbles!
Voluntarios
Las actividades y eventos en DPS no podrían llevarse a cabo si no fuera por los voluntarios. Gracias, Georgia, coordinadora de voluntarios, y todos los que ayudan donde pueden. Sabemos que el voluntariado viene de muchas y variadas formas. Estamos muy agradecidos por cada uno.
